Wagga Wagga Christian College Middle School

Our established relationship with the Wagga Wagga Christian College has now progressed to the design and documentation of the middle school phase of the schools master plan. A two storey building is currently in documentation and includes 8 GLA's, 4 shared learning areas, male and female amenities (with accessible facilities), staff room and verandah. A sympathetic collection of interior natural colours and materials, create a sense of continuity and maintain the identity of the school. A key element for this project was the transition between Junior and Middle school. This is subtly defined by drawing on the existing school materials pallete and fabric. Accent colours within the classrooms and amenities and the inclusion of geometric panels define the areas and pathways.

Congratulations on another wonderful project at WWCC! I love the new classroom block – the spaces that you have created have a ‘homely’, comfortable feel to them which welcomes the visitor.
There is a sense of space but still intimacy in the spaces as well as a good sense of light in each room...Once the landscaping is complete it will be another asset for not only break time and outdoor learning but also for community events.
I think the building ties in so sympathetically with the library building and JS and the fact it is hidden behind the existing quad buildings maintains the spacious, uncrowded feel of the College campus. Well done to you both and the team for your efforts!
